  "job_description": "Senior Business Analyst – Data Migration / Legacy Systems (Insurance)\n\nLocation: Remote (Frankfurt) 2 days Onsite a month in Frankfurt\n\nStart Date: 23/03/26\n\nProject Length: 9 Months\n\nLanguage: German required\n\nUtilisation: 100%\n\nAbout the Project\n\nA major insurance organisation is undergoing a large‑scale modernisation programme, migrating long‑standing legacy systems within the trade credit insurance domain to a modern SaaS platform. You will play a key role in analysing legacy environments, defining data migration concepts, and ensuring the successful transition into the new cloud‑based architecture.\n\nThis is a highly collaborative role involving business teams, IT, international development groups, and external suppliers.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n• Analyse existing policy administration and related legacy systems\n• Conduct structural and data analysis, including dependencies and data repositories\n• Develop migration strategies, rule sets, and SQL‑based specifications\n• Define functional migration concepts and data flows\n• Support data validation, test data creation, and quality assurance\n• Collaborate closely with database specialists and external suppliers\n• Business Analysis & Functional Design\n• Review and refine existing mapping rules\n• Lead functional aspects of migration testing\n• Translate business needs into requirements for the new SaaS target system\n• Design end‑to‑end processes including interfaces and orchestrated data flows\n• Create functional test concepts and oversee end‑to‑end testing\n• Execute tests with suppliers and QA teams\n• Perform large‑scale data validation, regression checks, and analysis\n• Document processes and manage testing via Jira, XRay, and Confluence\n\nTech & Tools\n• SQL, complex database analysis (DB2, VSAM)\n• Mainframe‑based source systems\n• Jira, XRay, Confluence, MS Teams\n• SAFe delivery environment\n\nWhat You Bring\n• Strong experience in data migration projects (must‑have)\n• Background in legacy/mainframe systems (must‑have)\n• Deep understanding of complex database structures\n• Insurance industry experience (highly beneficial)\n• Experience with large‑scale transformation or SaaS migration projects\n• Ability to work independently across multiple workstreams\n• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management",
