  "job_description": "About the team:\n\nThe Model Validation team supports the group function by ensuring that models are subject to robust governance and well understood in respect to their purpose, limitations and strengths.\n\nWhat you will be doing:\n\nIn this role is you will have the opportunity to execute model validation activity across a breadth of models and purposes ensuring that models are subject to robust and proportionate independent validation providing assurance to key model committees that the models are assured as to their quality and risk.\n\nIn this interesting role, you will gain access to a number of senior stakeholders across the business whilst having the opportunity to support IRB project work.\n\nYour responsibilies will include:\n• Validation of models across all aspects of the model lifecycle. Including assessing the appropriateness of the data utilised, the methodologies, the performance of the model, the clarity of the model documentation, appropriateness of model monitoring, and the use of the model. In practice you will be expected to:\n• Perform independent analysis utilising statistical techniques to interrogate, review and challenge model development evidenced through robust validation reports.\n• Engage with the Head of Model Validation on findings and recommended materiality.\n• Provide clarity to the model owner / model developer as to the findings / query such that the matter is understood.\n• Utilise expertise to agree any remedial actions with the model development team in review meetings.\n• Provide, where relevant, views on regulatory compliance with items such as SS3/18.\n• Produce comprehensive validation reports in line with the validation framework for review at the appropriate Committee / approval body.\n• Managing and engaging stakeholders across the organisation to ensure effective model validation practice is embedded.\n• Supporting the Model Governance and Validation team in improving polices, standards and practices across the group\n\nWhat's in it for you?\n\nWe offer a base salary of £50,000-£60,000 dependent on experience and a competitive benefits package including:\n• Enhanced family-focused benefits\n• Hybrid-working\n• Annual bonus opportunity\n\nAbout us:\n\nAt OSB Group, we understand how much our people bring to our organisation, which is why we try our best to give back too!
