  "job_description": "Job Title:\nSenior Development Triage AnalystLocation:\nBristol or Leicester + Hybrid Working Arrangements\nCompensation:\n£41, + Benefits\nRole Type:\nFull time / Permanent\nRole ID:\nSF Be the link that keeps critical digital systems running for UK defence At Babcock we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Senior Development Triage Analyst at our Babcock Technology Centre or Radar Road sites.\nThe role\nAs a Senior Development Triage Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in Babcock's Digital Solutions business, a team dedicated to providing information management and digital services that enable through‑life engineering support for the Royal Navy's most complex maritime assets.\nDay-to-day, you'll manage the intake, triage and prioritisation of service‑driven incidents, applying analytical insight to strengthen system reliability and prevent reoccurring issues.\nYou'll collaborate with development, testing, service and project teams, gaining significant visibility across the business and developing deep technical knowledge.\nManage intake, triage, and tracking resolutions of service driven incidents across multiple applications and technology stacks.\nAs part of the software development team, you will be the primary interface between Service, Development, Test, Project Managers and Business Analysts to ensure effective prioritisation and deployment.\nValidate incident details and allocate issues to the correct development and test teams, escalating high‑impact cases where required.\nBuild deep functional knowledge to support accurate triage and root‑cause analysis to ensure correct allocation.\nIdentify recurring incident patterns and implement improvements that reduce downtime and enhance operational efficiency.\nThis role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of 2 days in the office/onsite.\nEssential experience of the Senior Development Triage Analyst Experience in incident triage, operational support or cross‑functional software development.\nFamiliarity with multiple applications and understanding of SDLC, defect management and deployment processes.\nProven background working with Development, Test and Service in cross‑functional teams.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and perform root‑cause analysis.\nExperience with tools such as Remedy, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps or SharePoint.\nQualifications for the Senior Development Triage Analyst Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or relevant experience\nFormal training or working knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies We value difference and don't have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.\nSecurity Clearance\nThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.\nMany of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.\nThis means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.\nFurther details are available at Babcock\nWe're Babcock - a global FTSE organisation with over 26, people working together to make a difference.\nHere, you'll be part of something bigger.\nFrom initial design to final decommissioning, your work will contribute to products and services that are essential to national security and public infrastructure.\nTogether, we're building a future that lasts - not just through the impact we make, but through meaningful careers that respect your work-life balance.\nWe call that lifetime engineering.\nJoin us and see how far we can go, together.\nWe are a disability confident committed employer.",
