Looking for a Financial Risk Analyst to join a small, high-impact risk function - reporting directly into the Chief Risk Officer. That means real visibility, real influence, and the chance to work at the centre of some of the most commercially significant decisions a life insurer makes. Here's what makes this role stand out: → Direct line to the CRO. You won't be buried in a large team. Your work - your analysis, your challenge, your thinking - will be seen and heard at the top. → Broad, meaningful exposure. From credit risk and ALM to Bulk Purchase Annuity deals, reinsurance arrangements, and regulatory engagement, this role touches the full breadth of financial risk in a life insurance business. → Second line with real teeth. You'll be doing genuine review and challenge of first line frameworks, internal credit rating methodologies, and actuarial assumptions - not just ticking boxes. → Solvency UK / Internal Model work. If you want to build deep technical credibility, the involvement in Partial Internal Model validation and ORSA reporting is a serious differentiator for your career. → A seat at the table on strategic deals. Contributing second line input on BPA transactions and acquisition activity is rare at this level. Location: Aylesbury Level of experience: Part-qualified actuary or equivalent, with 2+ years in financial risk (life insurance or pension fund investment) If you or someone you know has credit risk or ALM experience in the life or pensions space and wants a role with genuine stretch, make sure to reach out / apply
