  "job_description": "Robert Half Technology are assisting a market leading financial services organisation to recruit an Application Support Analyst on an initial 6-month contract. Richmond based.\n\nRole\n\n• The Application Support Analyst will provide first-line support across a range of business-critical applications, including an in-house platform (“Connect”) and several legacy systems.\n\n• Support day-to-day user requests such as password resets, access issues, and general application queries.\n\n• Perform daily system checks and run batch jobs to ensure application performance and availability.\n\n• Analyse log files and troubleshoot issues to identify root causes and resolve incidents.\n\n• Work with application process flows and support business operations across multiple systems.\n\n• Carry out basic SQL queries and work with JSON data where required.\n\n• Support system changes, enhancements, and transformation initiatives across the application landscape.\n\n• Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal teams to ensure system stability and performance.\n\n• Assist with onboarding new applications and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).\n\n• Maintain documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of support processes.\n\nProfile\n\n• The Application Support Analyst will ideally be a recent graduate or an IT Support professional looking to move into application support.\n\n• Basic understanding of SQL and data handling.\n\n• Familiarity with JSON files and ability to read log files.\n\n• Awareness of ITIL processes and application support best practices.\n\n• Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting.\n\n• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with business users.\n\n• Organised, reliable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.\n\nCompany\n\n• Market leading financial services organisation\n\n• Based in Richmond\n\n• Hybrid working (5 days onsite for first 2 weeks, then 3 days per week onsite)\n\nSalary & Benefits\n\n• 6-month contract\n\n• Rates dependent on experience",
