Role: Change Business Analyst - Securities operations Location: Edinburgh Start Date: April End Date: 12-month contract Daily Rate: Inside IR35 Payroll provider – Rockford Payroll Info for Contingent Workers – Rockford Pay This is an exciting opportunity to join Deloitte Operations for an engagement with one of our clients. The Role Our client is seeking a Change Business Analyst with strong expertise in Securities Operations and a proven background in T+1 settlement initiatives. This role will involve analysing current processes, defining future state requirements, and driving the implementation of changes to optimise our securities settlement framework for accelerated cycles. Role Overview • Manage delivery of milestones within projects from inception to implementation for various strategic, industry, regulatory, mandatory, BAU or streamlining initiatives within Operations; ensure timely and cost-effective delivery; actively manage project portfolio conflicts – schedule embargos, resource management and delivery risk. • Responsible for ensuring ongoing and consistent engagement and relationship management with stakeholders across the region (i.e. Process Owners, Regional and Function Heads) as well as to corresponding S&CD stakeholders in the region (i.e. Cluster/Regional leads). • Responsible for ensuring all Milestones, Risks, Issues, Dependencies and Change Requests are logged in Clarity and monitored accordingly to limit the risk to any deliverables, aligning to the project manager. • Liaise directly with multiple stakeholder groups to ensure business requirements are clearly articulated, understood and tracked as well as ensure that deliverables are traceable to agreed business requirements. • Ensure active Operations participation in local implementation as required, working closely with IT and the respective Operations stakeholders. Principal Accountabilities • Responsible for end-to-end project delivery covering initiatives within the large-scale regulatory project through to small process improvements. • Manage schedules, identify and track dependencies/ interdependencies, manage and escalate issues and risks as appropriate. • Assess and understand the implication of any change to the BAU team and downstream process in terms of technological/infrastructure demand, resources demand, skillset demand, workflow restructuring, and roles redefinitions. • Co-ordinate and manage key testing phases for Operations e.g. UAT, ensuring training is conducted and the agreed Operating model is successfully delivered. • Review, and be responsible for the overall delivery and output of the team Experience & Skills Required • Strong project management skills with the ability to support and deliver strategic global and regional initiatives • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skills • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines • Advanced problem-solving abilities with a practical, solution-oriented mindset • Analytical and creative thinking skills • Ability to challenge existing processes and drive continuous improvement • Focus on enhancing efficiency, scalability, and customer experience
