  "job_description": "RPS Tetra Tech, is seeking a Data Analyst to join our growing and vibrant Wastewater Operations Team based in Clevedon,supporting data-driven project delivery for a range of clients. This is a key opportunity to contribute to impactful transformation initiatives through intuitive, interactive, and strategic data solutions. This role offers a salary of £26,529.\n\nAbout The Team\n\nThe RPS Asset, Surveying, and Inspection (AS&I) team provides industry leading services to the UK Water Industry and our employees are involved in services supporting Water Networks, Drainage, Surveying, Leakage Consultancy, Water Resources and Efficiency. The team analyse complex data and provide pragmatic solutions. This includes reducing water leakage and preventing flooding and pollution in local communities.\n\nOur Wastewater Operations teams are a collection of 3-person site survey crews that support the regional water companies by gathering data from both above and below-ground wastewater assets. These assets can include reservoirs, dams, highways, and water treatment plants.\n\nAbout You\n\nAs a key member of the Asset, Surveying, and Inspection (AS&I) business, your role as a Data Analyst is critical to our strategic priorities – to deliver great work for our clients by providing excellent customer service and executing complex operational tasks. Whether you are just starting out or taking the next step in your career, this position provides an opportunity for you to progress with RPS.\n\nYou'll help our client unlock the value of their data by designing, building, and optimising business intelligence reports and dashboards that enable smart decision-making. You’ll work across a diverse range of digital projects and corporate applications, delivering new insights and enhancing existing systems.\n\nThe role will also involve putting data in action and supporting our engineering teams on site.\n\nYou will need to work flexibly, working weekends, evenings and overtime if required. Be willing to travel to different locations. It is essential that you enjoy working outdoors, as come rain or shine, you will mostly be outside.\n\nYour Responsibilities\n• Analyse flow and rainfall data from wastewater monitoring projects.\n• Validate incoming data for accuracy, completeness, and sensor performance.\n• Identify anomalies, infiltration indicators, and network behaviour trends.\n• Produce clear, accurate data summaries, charts, and technical reports.\n• Support project managers and field teams with data insights and recommendations.\n• Assist in QA/QC processes for large datasets.\n• Work with hydraulic modellers and network engineers to interpret findings.\n• Maintain organised data records and ensure compliance with project standards.\n• Forming and maintaining excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients.\n\nSkills, Knowledge, And Experience\n• Strong analytical and numerical skills.\n• Experience working with datasets in Excel, GIS, or similar tools.\n• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.\n• Ability to communicate technical information clearly.\n• Strong organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.\n• Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail.\n• Well organised with the ability to manage own workload\n\nHealth And Safety\n\nThis role may involve:\n• Moving heavy items including inspection chamber covers.\n• Working in all weather conditions (this could include night work also).\n• You may be required to work in confined spaces and on highways.\n• Please note mandatory drugs and alcohol tests are undertaken for this role and a DBS check will be undertaken.\n\nWhat’s in it for you?\n\nA personal development plan and a transparent career pathway puts you in the driving seat of your career and you’ll be supported as far as you want to go.
