  "job_description": "Overview\nTax Effective Ltd is a growing digital tax and accountancy practice based in Westbourne Grove, London. We are looking for a Finance & Data Analyst to join our small, fast-moving team and take ownership of financial reporting, data reconciliation, commission analysis, and management dashboards across our practice and associated operations.\n\nThis is a hands-on analytical role. You will work directly with the Director and be expected to operate independently from day one.\n\nResponsibilities\n• Build and maintain Excel models and management dashboards for financial reporting and analysis\n• Design and update reporting dashboards to track KPIs, commissions, and financial performance\n• Prepare flash reports and commission reconciliations across multiple datasets\n• Perform data reconciliation and validation to ensure accuracy of outputs\n• Support claims preparation and bookkeeping activities\n• Identify and resolve discrepancies in data using structured, formula-driven methods\n• Contribute to process improvement and workflow documentation\n\nSkills (Essential)\n• Advanced Excel skills — VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF/S, PivotTables, nested IF logic, reconciliation, and dashboard building\n• Proven experience working with large datasets in a professional setting\n• Demonstrated ability to reconcile data and identify discrepancies independently\n• Experience creating management dashboards or reporting tools\n• Structured, analytical approach to problem-solving\n• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision\n• Attention to detail and a strong sense of data accuracy and controls\n\nDesirable\n• SQL, Python, or database exposure\n• Power BI or similar dashboard/visualisation tools\n• Accounting or bookkeeping experience (AAT, ACCA studying, or similar)\n• Experience in financial services, accountancy, or a multi-entity business\n\nAdditional Benefits\n\nIn addition to the competitive salary and benefits advertised, you will receive the following:\n• 1 day WFH after training\n• Support for professional study (AAT/ACCA) for the right candidate\n• Direct exposure to senior decision-making in a growing practice\n• Permanent contract after probation\n\nNote\n\nCandidates will complete a short Excel assessment at the interview.
