  "job_description": "My client, a highly prestigious hedge fund, is seeking an Alternative Data Lead to join their Data team in London.\n\nEmbedded within a high-performing and commercially focused data function, you will play a key role in shaping and executing the firm’s alternative data strategy across multiple asset classes. Working closely with the front office, research and technology teams, you will help identify, evaluate and onboard differentiated datasets that drive investment insight and alpha generation.\n\nThis is an opportunity to take ownership of the end-to-end alternative data lifecycle—from sourcing and vendor evaluation through to commercial negotiation, onboarding and ongoing value assessment. You will be instrumental in building strong vendor relationships, developing a best-in-class data sourcing framework and ensuring that data is effectively integrated and utilised across the investment process.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have strong experience within alternative data, data sourcing or market data, ideally within a buy-side environment. You should have a deep understanding of the data vendor landscape, experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and the ability to engage directly with senior stakeholders and investment professionals.
