About the Job you are considering: Capgemini is looking for a hands‑on Full Stack Engineer with deep expertise across Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and Angular. This is a delivery‑driven engineering role—ideal for someone who loves coding, problem‑solving, and building high‑quality solutions within agile teams. Your Role: • Design, build, and enhance RESTful APIs using Java 8+ and Spring Boot • Apply strong fundamentals across OOP, Collections, Streams, Lambdas • Implement data persistence using Spring JDBC / Hibernate • Write efficient, optimized SQL queries (joins, aggregations, filters, performance basics) • Build responsive, scalable UI components with Angular (latest LTS) • Work with Reactive Forms, DI, Routing, RxJS, Change Detection • Collaborate closely with UX, QA, and DevOps in agile PODs • Deliver solutions that adhere to Barclays engineering, security, and resiliency standards Your Skills: Backend: • Java (OOP, Collections, Streams, Lambdas) • Spring Boot (REST APIs, configuration, exception handling) • Spring JDBC & Hibernate • SQL (Joins, Group By, Count, performance tuning basics) Frontend: • Angular (latest LTS) • Component Lifecycle Hooks • Dependency Injection • Reactive Forms • Routing & Navigation • Change Detection Strategies • RxJS (Observables, Promises) Experience Expectations: • 10+ years of strong hands‑on software development • Must be actively coding and able to solve deep technical problems • Pure architects or non‑coding profiles will not be suitable We are a Disability Confident Employer: Capgemini is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer (Level 2) under the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme.
