  "job_description": "We are seeking a motivated Electrical Design Engineer (Intermediate to Senior level) to join our Building Services team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of electrical systems across a variety of complex projects, with particular involvement in healthcare, laboratory, and science & technology facilities.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to work on technically challenging projects while developing their design, coordination, and project leadership skills.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n• Design and specification of electrical building services systems including:\n• Power distribution\n• Lighting and lighting control systems\n• Emergency and standby power systems\n• Small power systems\n• Fire alarm and life safety systems\n• Data and communications infrastructure\n• Produce electrical calculations including load assessments, cable sizing, fault levels, and lighting design.\n• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation.\n• Coordinate designs with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical engineers, architects, and structural engineers.\n• Attend client, design team, and project meetings.\n• Undertake site visits and inspections to support project delivery.\n• Support junior engineers and technicians where appropriate.\n• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and project requirements.\n\nRequirements\n• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).\n• Typically 3–10+ years of experience in electrical building services design (flexible depending on level).\n• Experience using design software such as:\n• Amtech / Trimble ProDesign or equivalent\n• Dialux or Relux\n• AutoCAD and/or Revit\n• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and BS standards relevant to electrical design.\n• Strong communication and coordination skills.\n\nDesirable Experience\n• Experience delivering healthcare, laboratory, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or science & technology projects.\n• Knowledge of HTM standards, critical power systems, or resilient infrastructure.\n• Experience working in a BIM environment.\n• Progress toward or achievement of Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.\n\nWhat We Offer\n• Opportunity to work on technically complex and high-profile projects.\n• Support for professional development and chartership.\n• Competitive salary and benefits package.\n• Collaborative and supportive team environment",
