They are currently engaged in a number of projects ranging in size across Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Mixed-Use and more. Currently seeking an experienced mechanical designer at Principal level, would consider associate level.\n\nRole\n• Ensuring an understanding of project briefs. Design and specification of all Mechanical Building Services systems.\n• Preparation and review of documentation eg designs, specifications, assessment reports, survey reports.\n• Carry out (managing of others) in the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools including Excel, CAD, IES, in house developed tools tec,\n• Site surveys, inspections and monitoring of site works\n• Implementation of detailed surveys of mechanical services and equipment to establish status of the existing installations and gain sufficient information to recommend new/upgrade design proposal\n• Assisting with the development of junior engineers\n• Report and technical note writing\n\nQualifications/Experience\n• Degree qualified or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering\n• Ideally chartered or working towards this with CIBSE or IET.\n• 5-10 years experience working in a design consultancy or a similar envrionment.\n• Knowledge of mechanical design within the built environment.\n• Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with clients.\n• Detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards, able to take charge of project deliverables, make decisions, act on own initiative.\n• Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools such as IES thermal modelling package, Microscoft packages, CAD\n\nBenefits\n• 25 days annual leave + public holidays\n• 9 day fortnight\n• Hybrid working\n• 5% pension\n• Private healthcare\n• Holiday buy/sell\n• Support towards chartership\n\nMorgan Hunt is a multi-award-winning recruitment business for interim, contract and temporary recruitment and acts as an Employment Agency in relation to permanent vacancies.
