  "job_description": "Civil Engineering Professional\n• Job Type: Full-time, office-based\n\nJoin a reputable and established engineering consultancy that is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to enhance their team. In this dynamic role, you will work on a diverse range of small to medium-sized projects, including new residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.\n\nThis position is perfect for someone eager to take on significant project responsibilities while utilizing advanced engineering software and systems.\n\nResponsibilities include:\n• Supporting civil, housing, and building projects in the capacity of Project or Assistant Project Engineer.\n• Supervising junior engineers and coordinating daily project tasks effectively.\n• Creating detailed civil engineering drawings using PDS/Live Design, InfoDrainage/Windes, and AutoCAD software.\n• Designing road layouts and drainage systems that comply with regulatory standards.\n• Preparing Phase 1 & 2 Flood Risk Assessment (FRA) reports and verifying engineering calculations.\n• Collaborating with senior engineers to address technical and design inquiries.\n• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure quality.\n• Assisting in budget tracking and managing project timelines.\n• Handling roads/drainage applications and coordinating with regulatory bodies.\n• Conducting site surveys and inspections, along with technical reporting.\n• Verifying subcontractor fabrication drawings for compliance with specifications.\n• Engaging with clients and project stakeholders for effective communication.\n• Mentoring junior staff and supporting their professional development.\n• Progressing towards chartership and contributing to Principal Designer responsibilities.\n\nRequired Skills & Qualifications:\n• Experience with PDS/Live Design, InfoDrainage, Windes, and AutoCAD.\n• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and supervise junior staff effectively.\n• Excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.\n• Knowledge of the requirements from local authorities, Scottish Water, and SEPA.\n• Capability to perform risk assessments and identify hazards in accordance with CDM regulations.\n• Working towards or holding chartership/membership in relevant professional bodies.\n\nTo apply for this role, please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and your interest in this opportunity.",
