  "job_description": "Role: Senior Structural Engineer\n\nSalary: 45,000- 61,000\n\nLocation: Edinburgh\n\nRef: MAR122\n\nWe're working with a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy to recruit a Senior Structural Engineer for their Edinburgh office. This role offers the chance to play a key part in the delivery of large-scale, technically complex structural projects across sectors such as defence, nuclear, public sector, highways, and industrial infrastructure.\n\nAs a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality structural solutions, supporting junior engineers, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project success. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who is looking to progress their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nDeliver structural designs to cost, schedule, and quality requirements.\nSupport project leaders and contribute to the management of structural design teams.\nEnsure compliance with design standards, CDM regulations, and HSE best practices.\nCoordinate with clients and other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.\nMentor and support graduate and junior engineers.\nContribute to continuous improvement and innovation in design and delivery processes.\n\nAbout You:\nChartered or near-chartered Civil/Structural Engineer (CEng MICE or MIStructE).\nSolid experience in structural design of building structures and foundations.\nStrong understanding of structural codes, standards, and design tools.\nProven ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.\nFamiliar with CDM regulations and health & safety responsibilities.\nEligible for (or currently hold) SC security clearance.\nFull, clean UK driving licence.\n\nDesirable Experience:\nPrevious involvement in public sector, or complex infrastructure projects.\nExperience with seismic design, ground improvement techniques, or advanced structural analysis tools.\nUnderstanding of technical assurance processes and regulatory compliance.\n\nWhat's on Offer:\nYou'll receive a competitive salary and bonus scheme, matched contributory pension, and generous annual leave allowance (with the option to buy more).
