  "job_description": "Job Description\n\nSTEADROCK CAPITAL — AI & SYSTEMS ENGINEER (Graduate / Junior)\n\nLocation: Mayfair, London\n\nStart: Immediate\n\nType: Full-time, In person\n\nCompensation: £40,000–£60,000 + discretionary bonus\n\nAbout Steadrock Capital\n\nSteadrock is a London-based multifamily office and investment firm operating at the intersection of real estate private equity, AI compute infrastructure, and quantitative finance.\n\nWe recently acquired 10 Queen’s Gate Place (SW7) for redevelopment into six luxury units (Grade II listed) with a projected GDV materially above £17M. Alongside our real estate strategy, we operate a dedicated AI infrastructure stack centered on an NVIDIA DGX system, used for in-house modelling, automation, and agent development. We are building a small, elite technical team. This role is a core pillar of that team.\n\nRole:\n\nAI & Systems Engineer. This is a hybrid role blending backend engineering, GPU systems, AI agent development, and automation. In your role, you will work with a part time, outside, technical consultant, specialising in the responsibilities below. This will allow for structured and greatly accelerated learning.\n\nDay to day, you will work directly with the founder, our economics lead, and our quantitative modelling lead. This is not a corporate environment. We move fast, prefer clean architecture, and value people who can think independently.\n\nCore Responsibilities\n\nYou will own the technical backbone of Steadrock's internal systems:\n• Compute Infrastructure (DGX)\n• Manage our NVIDIA DGX server (Linux environment, CUDA, system health)\n• Build, test, and maintain internal APIs (FastAPI/Flask)\n• Design stable ngrok / reverse-proxy / network connections for remote access\n• Optimise GPU utilisation and monitor performance\n• AI Agent & Automation Development\n• Develop pipelines for fine-tuning, embeddings, inference\n• Backend & Internal Tools\n• Build the “Steadrock OS”: internal dashboards, scheduling tools, risk engines\n• Maintain Python codebase, Git repositories, environments\n• Connect iPhone/iPad workflows with backend systems\n• Data & Real Estate Interfaces\n• Build automated comparables engines\n• Assist with financial modelling scripts\n\nWhat You Need\n\nTechnical\n• Strong Python\n• Experience with Linux (Ubuntu), bash, SSH\n• Understanding of GPUs, CUDA basics, or willingness to learn fast\n• Experience with FastAPI, Flask or similar\n• Basic networking knowledge (ports, tunnels, proxies)\n• SQL or NoSQL experience\n\nPreferred\n• Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Qwen)\n• Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes\n• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP)\n• Coursework or experience in ML, transformers, NLP, or distributed systemsBonus (not required)\n• Interest in real estate\n• Interest in finance or quantitative modelling\n• Experience building agents (LangChain, LlamaIndex, custom architectures)\n\nWhat We Offer\n• Work directly with an NVIDIA DGX system\n• Build AI systems from the ground up\n• Very high autonomy\n• Exposure to private equity, high-end real estate development, planning strategy\n• Freedom to design architecture as you see fit\n• A fast-moving environment with no bureaucracy\n• The opportunity to become a foundational technical hire (progression is fast\n\nWhy This Is a Unique Role\n\nThis is not a typical graduate software job.\n\nIt is a rare opportunity to join a small, elite, multi-disciplinary team and:\n• Build AI systems with real impact\n• Architect the compute backbone of a growing multi-family office\n• Influence investment analysis, real estate strategy, and automation\n• Touch every part of the tech stack\n• Grow into a CTO-level position\n\nYou won’t be maintaining someone else’s stack — you will be building Steadrock’s from scratch.\n\nApplication Process\n• CV\n• Short Python task (we will send a practical DGX-related challenge)\n• Technical interview (systems + Python)\n• Final discussion with the founder\n\nWork Location: In person",
