Overview Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack) at Lloyds Banking Group. Locations: Edinburgh, Bristol, Halifax, Leeds & Chester. Hours: Full-time - 35 hours per week. Working pattern: hybrid, with at least two days per week (40%) in one of the stated offices. You will join a collaborative, agile team to design and develop frontend and backend components of modern applications, work with cloud-native technologies, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines to deliver high-quality software. What you’ll be doing • Design, develop, test, and deploy modular applications, APIs, and services using Python, TypeScript, React, or similar technologies. • Build containerized applications using Docker and deploy them to Kubernetes environments. • Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Architects, and Quality Engineers. • Integrate with third-party APIs and internal systems to deliver seamless user experiences. • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical governance. • Mentor junior engineers and support community knowledge sharing. What you’ll need • Strong hands-on experience in both frontend and backend development. • Backend: Proficiency in Python or Node.js and RESTful APIs, C#, and SQL. • Frontend: React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and other modern frontend frameworks. • DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Harness), Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred). • Automation: Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Pact, etc.).
