  "job_description": "Overview\n\nSenior Software Engineer (Fullstack) at Lloyds Banking Group. Locations: Edinburgh, Bristol, Halifax, Leeds & Chester. Hours: Full-time - 35 hours per week. Working pattern: hybrid, with at least two days per week (40%) in one of the stated offices.\nAbout this opportunity\n\nWe are a technology-driven organisation investing in people, platforms, and products. We are looking for talented Fullstack Engineers to help build scalable, secure, and customer-centric solutions. You will join a collaborative, agile team to design and develop frontend and backend components of modern applications, work with cloud-native technologies, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines to deliver high-quality software.\nWhat you’ll be doing\n• Design, develop, test, and deploy modular applications, APIs, and services using Python, TypeScript, React, or similar technologies.\n• Build containerized applications using Docker and deploy them to Kubernetes environments.\n• Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.\n• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Architects, and Quality Engineers.\n• Integrate with third-party APIs and internal systems to deliver seamless user experiences.\n• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical governance.\n• Mentor junior engineers and support community knowledge sharing.\nWhat you’ll need\n• Strong hands-on experience in both frontend and backend development.\n• Backend: Proficiency in Python or Node.js and RESTful APIs, C#, and SQL.\n• Frontend: React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and other modern frontend frameworks.\n• DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Harness), Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).\n• Automation: Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Pact, etc.).\nAbout working for us\n\nOur ambition is to be the leading UK business for diversity, equity and inclusion, supporting customers, colleagues, and communities.
