  "job_description": "Job Role- MERN Stack SME\n\nLocation - London, UK\n\nExperience Level -15+ Years\n\nJob Description:\n\nTechnical Leadership & Architecture\n• Lead endtoend technical design and architecture for scalable MERN applications.\n• Define coding standards, performance benchmarks, and best practices for MERNbased solutions.\n• Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and design walkthroughs.\n• Guide teams in building microservicesbased and cloudnative applications.\n\nDevelopment & Delivery\n• Develop and maintain highquality, efficient, and reusable MERN components.\n• Optimize application performance, security, and reliability.\n• Troubleshoot complex issues across frontend, backend, APIs, and database layers.\n• Work with DevOps teams to enable CI/CD, containerization (Docker/K8s), and cloud deployments (Azure/AWS/GCP).\n\nCollaboration & Stakeholder Management\n• Serve as the goto MERN expert for product owners, business analysts, and engineering teams.\n• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.\n• Support presales, consultations, and technical proposals when required.\n\nCoaching & Mentoring\n• Upskill development teams through technical sessions, code reviews, and handson guidance.\n• Create technical documentation, playbooks, and reusable frameworks.\n• Mentor junior developers and support capability building within the MERN practice.\n\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\n• 15+ years of handson experience in MERN Stack development.\n• Strong expertise in:\n• React.js (Hooks, Context API, Redux desirable)\n• Node.js & Express.js\n• MongoDB (schema design, aggregation pipelines, indexing)\n• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL (preferred), and microservices architecture.\n• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).\n• Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, etc.).\n• Experience deploying applications on Azure, AWS, or GCP.\n• Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).\n\nPreferred Experience\n• Exposure to message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).\n• Experience in performance tuning for hightraffic applications.\n• Knowledge of authentication/authorization frameworks (OAuth, JWT).\n• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.\n• Prior experience as a technical mentor, architect, or SME.\n\nSoft Skills\n• Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.\n• Strong communication and presentation abilities.\n• Ability to lead discussions with senior stakeholders.\n• Team player with a passion for continuous learning and innovation.\n\nFor more information on how we process your personal data, please refer to HCLTech’s Candidate Data Privacy Notice.",
