You will work in a collaborative environment as part of a diverse inclusive and geographically distributed team. We are seeking individuals with a curious mindset and a keen interest in new technology. Our engineers are naturally solution-oriented and possess an interest in the financial sector and focus on addressing our customer work in teams focused onspecific banking functions and products providing opportunities to build data pipelines and reporting capabilities for functional areas such as finance and business management treasury operations financial crime prevention regulatory reporting and analytics. We collaborate with product teams such as card payments electronic payments lending customer onboarding core banking and insurance to understand their product data models and deliver tailored data solutions that meet business needs.\n\nJob responsibilities\n• Contribute to end-to-end data pipeline solutions on cloud infrastructure leveraging the latest technologies and the best industry practices\n• Use domain modelling techniques to allow us to build best in class business products.\n• Structure software so that it is easy to understand test and evolve.\n• Build solutions that avoid single points of failure using scalable architectural patterns.\n• Develop secure code so that our customers and ourselves are protected from malicious actors.\n• Promptly investigate and fix issues and ensure they do not resurface in the future.\n• Make sure our releases happen with zero downtime for our end-users.\n• See that our data is written and read in a way thats optimized for our needs.\n• Keep an eye on performance making sure we use the right approach to identify and solve problems.\n• Keep us up to date by continuously updating our technologies and patterns.\n• Support the products youve built through their entire lifecycle including in production and during incident management\n\nRequired qualifications capabilities and skills\n• Formal training or certification on data engineering concepts and applied experience\n• Recent hands-on professional experience as a data engineer\n• Experience in coding in a recent version of the Python programming language\n• Experience in designing and implementing effective tests (unit component integration end-to-end performance etc.)\n• Excellent written and verbal communicationskills in English\n• Understanding of cloud technologies and distributed systems\n• Understanding of data transformation frameworks and data pipeline orchestration tools\n• Understanding of how to manage and optimize queries for large volumes of data within different kinds of data stores (including relational data stores)\n\nPreferred qualifications capabilities and skills\n• Experience in working in a highly regulated environment / industry\n• Understanding of AWS cloud technologies\n• Understanding of data governance frameworks\n• Understanding of event-base architecture data streaming and messaging frameworks\n\n#ICBEngineering #ICBCareers\n\nRequired Experience:\n\nIC\n\nKey Skills\nApache Hive,S3,Hadoop,Redshift,Spark,AWS,Apache Pig,NoSQL,Big Data,Data Warehouse,Kafka,Scala\nEmployment Type : Full-Time\nExperience: years\nVacancy: 1",
