Our focus is on creating seamless, data-driven digital experiences that are intuitive, personalized, and scalable—empowering both customers and internal teams. We are dedicated to enhancing our platforms, integrating sales and marketing systems, and leveraging technologies that reveal deeper customer insights and accelerate decision-making. The Role We are searching for a Senior Principal Machine Learning Engineer to be at the forefront of shaping Autodesk's B2C eCommerce platform. This pivotal role encompasses full-lifecycle ownership—from ideation and modeling through to deployment and optimization. You will work collaboratively across disciplines to develop intelligent systems that enrich user experiences and deliver tangible results. If you are enthusiastic about addressing complex business challenges and building scalable ML systems, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every qualification. Qualifications We acknowledge that talent comes in various forms. If you align with most of the criteria and are excited about the role, we want to hear from you. Preferred Experience • A background in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (applicants from non-traditional data science backgrounds are also welcome). • 7+ years of relevant hands-on experience, focusing on machine learning infrastructure, model deployment, optimization, software design, architecture, and product development. • Familiarity with data mining, information retrieval, and statistical modeling. • Experience with A/B testing and experimental design. • Proficiency in applying statistical and probabilistic methods to address real-world issues; familiarity with financial modeling is an advantage. • Ability to translate data insights into actionable business outcomes. • Experience in eCommerce, marketing technology, go-to-market systems, or other high-scale data environments (such as fintech or social platforms). Bonus Experience (Not Required) • An advanced degree is preferred but not necessary; significant industry experience is highly valued. • Familiarity with cloud ML platforms (AWS, Azure) and MLOps practices. • Experience with personalization systems and real-time inference pipelines. Why Autodesk? • Engage in high-impact projects that influence the future of digital commerce. • Collaborate with a diverse and talented team of engineers, scientists, and product leaders. • Benefit from flexible work arrangements and a culture that prioritizes innovation, learning, and inclusivity.
