Our goal is to propel AI and machine learning capabilities within Ad Platform, delivering scalable and impactful AI/ML and data science solutions to improve ad decision-making, forecasting, experimentation, and overall ad experience. We are in search of a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our inventive team. This position offers an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced ML engineer passionate about intertwining technical excellence with strategic influence and cross-functional teamwork. Key Responsibilities: • Drive innovation, employing cutting-edge AI and machine learning to enhance various advertising domains, including inventory forecasting, ad experience, pacing, pricing, targeting, and efficient ad delivery. • Develop and refine innovative solutions to intricate advertising challenges through swift prototyping and deployment cycles. • Design, construct, and scale resilient ML systems that underpin key functionalities of our ad platform. • Promote engineering excellence by implementing best practices in code quality, system design, and operational reliability. • Mentor junior engineers, nurturing a culture of continuous learning and technical advancement. Qualifications: • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in creating and deploying large-scale machine learning systems. • Strong foundation in AI/ML technologies, mathematics, and statistics. • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and numerical optimization, along with proficiency in programming languages such as Python (primary), Java, and SQL. • Familiarity with tools and frameworks like Databricks, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face libraries. • Proven competence in deep learning methodologies, including recurrent and sequence-based models. • Hands-on experience with transformer architectures (e.g., BERT, GPT, ViT) applied to natural language and vision tasks. • Strong grasp of multimodal embedding techniques for assimilating text, image, audio, and structured data. • Experience with various LLM models, such as GPT models, Claude, Gemini, Llama, etc. • Deep understanding of LLM evaluation methodologies, with experience in RAG architectures. • A documented track record of thriving in a fast-paced, data-driven, and collaborative work environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in digital video advertising or digital marketing domain. • Familiarity with forecasting models. Education: Bachelor’s degree (MS or PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Work Locations: Santa Monica, California The hiring range for this role in Santa Monica is $171,600 to $230,100 annually and in Seattle is $179,700 to $241,000. The base pay will consider factors such as internal equity, the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may also be part of the total compensation package, alongside comprehensive medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position level.
