Data Analysis and Insight Manager • Contract: Fixed-term 12 months, from July 2026 • Hours: Part Time, 0.4 FTE/ 2 days a week • Location: Office based at Somerset House, London, with some hybrid working • Salary: £40,000 - £44,000 (pro rata) dependant on experience Job Overview The Data Analysis and Insight Manager plays a central role ensures that the National Saturday Club’s data is meaningfully analysed to generate robust, actionable insight. The postholder will lead quantitative and qualitative analysis of NSC data, examining participation patterns, demographic trends and programme outcomes. They will develop systems to integrate historical archive data with current datasets to enable longitudinal analysis, deepening understanding of long-term impact and change over time. Working closely with colleagues, the role will translate data into clear insight reports for the National Saturday Club team as well as for partners, with practical recommendations to inform the development of the programme, policy and practice. Analysis will focus on key themes including equity of access, young people’s skills and wellbeing, place-based variation, and awareness of future education and career pathways. This role ensures that National Saturday Club’s evidence base is analytical, rigorous and strategically useful to support programme improvement, advocacy and policy engagement. Responsibilities and Duties: • Conduct quantitative data analysis including analysing participation, demographic trends, and outcomes • Develop systems to make use of NSC archive data alongside current datasets for longitudinal analysis • Conduct qualitative coding and thematic analysis • Produce analytical insight reports that synthesise quantitative and qualitative findings, identify patterns and explanatory factors, and provide proportionate recommendations Other Information: • Attend and contribute to team meetings, supervision sessions, training and any other internal meetings as requested • Attend external meetings with stakeholders, partners and funders as requested • Conduct all activities in line with our values and policies and in a manner which promotes and enhances National Saturday Club’s image and reputation. • Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required to fulfil the duties of this post (including some national travel, overnight stays) • Some weekend working may be required, for which time-off in lieu can be claimed. Person Specification Essential Criteria: • A degree (or equivalent professional experience) in a relevant discipline such as social sciences, education, sociology, psychology, statistics, economics, cultural policy, research methods or a related analytical field • Demonstrable experience conducting quantitative data analysis, including analysing participation data, demographic trends and outcome measures • Experience working with large or complex datasets and applying appropriate analytical approaches to generate meaningful findings • Experience integrating historical or archive data with current datasets to enable longitudinal or comparative analysis • Demonstrable experience conducting qualitative research including coding and thematic analysis • Ability to interpret data critically and move beyond descriptive reporting to generate meaningful insight • Experience producing clear, structured reports with proportionate and practical recommendations • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings in accessible language • Good understanding of data protection and ethical considerations in analysis, particularly when working with young people • Understanding of, or strong interest in, creative education, non-formal learning or youth participation in the UK Desirable Criteria: • Experience using statistical analysis software (e.g. SPSS, R, Stata or similar) • Experience using qualitative data analysis software (e.g. NVivo, Atlas.ti, MAXQDA or similar) to support coding and thematic analysis • Experience analysing multi-site or network-based programme data • Experience conducting longitudinal research • Experience undertaking place-based or geographic analysis • Experience contributing to policy briefings or advocacy materials • Familiarity with UK creative education or cultural policy contexts • Experience contributing to organisational strategy through evaluation insights • Experience working with young people in educational or creative contexts • Previous experience in cultural or creative organisations Equality, Diversity & Inclusion All employees complete safeguarding and ED&I training and contribute to an inclusive culture.
