  "job_description": "Are you passionate about data, technology, and driving business improvements? We’re looking for a Business Systems Analyst to help us optimise systems, deliver actionable insights, and support smarter decision-making across the organisation.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n• Enhance Business Systems: Maintain, upgrade, and improve core systems (Finance, HR, Customer Service, Asset Management, Planning, Revenues & Benefits).\n• Deliver Data Insights: Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support strategic decisions.\n• Spatial Analysis: Use ArcGIS to provide mapping and spatial data solutions for planning and service delivery.\n• Engage & Train: Work with stakeholders to understand needs, provide training, and promote data-driven culture.\n• Support Projects: Contribute to digital transformation initiatives and system enhancements.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n• Degree in Information Systems, Business, GIS, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience.\n• Certifications in Power BI, ArcGIS, or business analysis are a plus.\n• Experience in Business Systems Analysis Support.\n• Strong skills in Power BI (data modelling, dashboards) and ArcGIS (mapping, spatial analysis).\n• Excellent data analysis and stakeholder engagement abilities.\n• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.\n\nDesirable: Knowledge of local government systems, SQL, APIs, and project/change management.\n\nThe post is offered on a full time fixed term contract for 12 months (36 hours per week)\n\nThe Council operates a hybrid working model where employees may work up to three days per week from home (but be flexible to work from the office more often if the service requires).\n\nWhy Join Us?\n• Salary: £34,000 to £42,433 dependent on relevant experience.\n• Flexible working, including hybrid options – 2 days working in Office & 3 days working from home.\n• Professional development and training opportunities.\n• A supportive, progressive Digital Services environment.\n• 27 – 32 days annual leave (depending on length of Local Gvt Service) - plus all bank holidays\n• Free gym membership\n• Local government pension scheme\n• Cycle schemes (Cycle to Work Scheme and free Beryl Bike rides for staff)\n• Free wellbeing benefits (such as lunchtime yoga, flu jabs, health MOT, Employee Assistance Program)\n\nClosing Date: Monday 13 April, 10am\n\nApplicants who have submitted an application within the last six months will not be considered again at this time.",
