Whether that’s timely and accurate reporting to perform critical controls, or investigations into inefficiencies and improvement areas in our money movement network, data performs a central role in optimising our team’s decisions and processes.\n\nJob Description\n\nWe’re on the hunt for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Treasury team in Shoreditch, London.\n\nYou’ll be part of a team that fundamentally powers the Wise product and mission!\n\nWhat you’ll be doing:\n• Curating datasets, surfacing metrics, sizing opportunities, and deeper dive analysis to discover inefficiencies and optimise the team’s approach to money movement\n• Building and maintaining critical data pipelines\n• Hunting down and diagnosing unusual behaviour or anomalies with our trades and payments\n• Liaising with FX, Liquidity and Operations teams to understand how to improve processes to achieve lower costs and risks and these areas\n\nWho you are\n• Advanced SQL skills\n• Experience building data pipelines\n• Strong analytical ability\n• 3-5 years experience in similar roles\n• Data visualisation and storytelling ability\n• Ability to self organise and manage stakeholders\n• Demonstration of impact/going above and beyond basic role requirements\n• Python/R for data manipulation and analysis\n• Understanding of stats and statistical modelling (measures of central tendency, understanding of variance and testing, some regression modelling)\n\nDesirable\n• DBT\n• Data modelling in a warehouse context\n• Experience working with financial or payments data\n\nSome important stuff we would like you to know\n\nTo meet our regulatory obligations as a licensed financial services company, Wise needs to conduct background checks on all new hires, which in the Finance team includes Criminal and Credit checks.
