Working in small, empowered DevOps teams, you'll contribute to secure, high-performance systems used across national infrastructure. This role will suit hands-on engineers who enjoy collaborating closely with product, design and back-end peers, and who want to work on software that has real operational significance. About the Organisation Our client is a global technology and consulting group operating at the intersection of national security, analytics, and engineering. You'll join an established engineering community recognised for depth in cyber, analytics and data-driven systems. The working culture combines the autonomy of a DevOps start-up environment with the scale and security of a major defence prime. Responsibilities • Build and maintain modern, responsive front-end interfaces for secure systems and applications. • Lead front-end design and architecture across component-based frameworks and JavaScript stacks. • Collaborate closely with UX, API and system engineering teams to translate design into production-grade front-end code. • Apply secure coding standards, accessibility principles and testing practices (Jest, Jasmine, Cypress). • Contribute to continuous delivery pipelines and advocate DevOps ways of working within your team. Candidate Profile Ideal candidates will bring most of the following: • Strong skills in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3, with solid understanding of DOM complexity and ARIA standards. • Experience with frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar. • Familiarity with front-end build tooling - Webpack, Rollup, Node.js scripting, and environment configuration. • Applied understanding of agile delivery and test-driven development. • Ability to collaborate effectively with design, product and technical stakeholders. • DV clearance eligibility (Sole British nationality required). Nice-to-have exposure includes TypeScript, responsive design, API integration, automated UI testing (Cypress / Playwright / Selenium), or experience working in secure or regulated sectors. Benefits • £7,000 per annum tax-free allowance upon achieving DV clearance. • 25 days annual leave + buy/sell options. • Private medical & dental, enhanced pension, bonus participation. • Flexible working with core-hours and hybrid model (3 days average on site). • Career coaching, professional training access, and internal engineering community. How to Apply To explore these positions confidentially, please submit your CV with relevant experienced listed. Shortlisting and interviews are progressing quickly with single stage processes and offers typically issued within a week of interview.
