Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (.NET) Entity: Aventum Group Location: London Office Work Type: Hybrid This isn’t a job description. It’s your invitation. Atomx is a governed decisioning system that unifies insurance from capacity to close, turning documents and data into evidence and converting rules and models into consistent, explainable, auditable outcomes. Built to replace outdated, disconnected systems, Atomx gives ambitious insurance brands a fully integrated ecosystem that removes silos and delivers the speed, clarity, and control teams need to build what’s next. At Aventum, we don’t hire people to fill seats. We bring people in to build something real. “We want people to join us… on our mission… not by playing it safe but by delivering the unexpected and creating meaningful impact.” If you want rigid structures and one‑size‑fits‑all management, this probably isn’t for you. But if you want ownership from day one, honest feedback, and a culture that expects you to speak up, take responsibility, and keep getting better, you might be exactly who we’re looking for. Some people join us knowing exactly where they want to go. Others figure it out once they’re here. Both thrive. The question is, will you? What You’ll Take On This role leads the charge in designing, building, and delivering high‑quality software solutions, setting technical standards across the team and wider organisation. You’ll pair deep engineering expertise with strong leadership—driving architectural direction, mentoring developers at all levels, championing secure and scalable development practices, and elevating how we build, test, deploy, and continuously improve our software. Your influence will shape systems, guide teams, and strengthen our engineering culture. • Lead the design, development, and architecture of complex software solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. • Mentor engineers of all levels, fostering high standards in code quality, craftsmanship, testing, and continuous learning. • Drive Agile delivery, facilitating ceremonies and aligning cross‑functional teams toward shared outcomes. • Own and optimise CI/CD pipelines, version control strategies, and integration processes to streamline delivery and reduce technical debt. • Act as a subject‑matter expert across cloud technologies, programming languages, debugging, and modern engineering best practices. Who Thrives Here We don’t expect you to tick every box. Curiosity matters more than perfection. As the attached document puts it, we look for people who “have a mindset focused on learning, improvement and follow through.” You’ll thrive here if you: • Take ownership and enjoy solving complex problems. • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical people. • Care about craftsmanship and doing work you’re proud of. • Want to mentor others and help raise the standard. • Are energised by autonomy, responsibility, and high expectations. • Love learning and love sharing what you learn. What you will bring: • Strong technical foundation with a degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience). • Deep hands‑on experience in C#/.NET and object‑oriented programming, plus exposure to multiple languages. • Proficient with a wide range of frameworks, libraries, and modern engineering tools. • Advanced understanding of cloud technologies (Azure/AWS), containerisation, serverless, and modern deployment patterns. • Extensive experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code. • Proven delivery experience within Agile teams, using Agile tools, ceremonies, and best practices. • Strong problem‑solving, communication, time‑management and collaboration skills, with a growth mindset. • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship ability—supporting engineers, guiding best practice, and fostering team success. Why Apply Because you want more than a job title. You want to build something meaningful. You want to grow faster than you thought possible. You want to be trusted, challenged, and recognised. Or, as the document puts it: “Because you want to help build something inspiring, unexpected and meaningful.” So… challenge accepted.
