  "job_description": "Position: Software Engineer\nLocation: Bristol or Slough\nSalary: 40,000- 45,000\n\nMy client is a long-established Engineering Services company supporting clients across the UK within the pharmaceutical and food processing sectors. They are looking to employ a junior software project engineer based in either Slough or Bristol although a significant amount of working from home can be expected once fully inducted. A clean driving licence and a willingness to travel to project sites is essential.\n\nAs a member of one of the Project Teams, the position will suit a software/automation graduate with a couple of years' post-graduation experience. The software team is responsible for all aspects of assigned software projects from commencement to completion of commissioning, ensuring that all work adheres to all company safety policies and customer requirements. This position reports to the senior Software Manager and demands an attention to detail and a good interface with client engineers.\n\nSoftware Engineer Overview\n• Assisting in costing projects in terms of materials and labour and producing quotations for software projects\n• Producing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for projects\n• Writing detailed Functional Design Specifications (FDS) from customer User\n\nRequirements Specifications (URS)\n• Configuration of control system architecture and network connections\n• Production and modification of PLC / HMI / SCADA software\n• Installation, modification, retrofit, commissioning and fault diagnosis of control panels and associated process equipment\n• Supervision of electrical employees and subcontractors in food production\n\nenvironments\n\nSoftware Engineer Requirements\n• Ideally hold an Electrical Engineering degree/HND/HNC or equivalent experience\n• Ideally have good practical electrical qualifications (apprenticeship, or NVQ Level 3)\n• Experience in the use of PLC Software Development (Allen Bradley / Siemens) an advantage\n• Experience in the use of HMI / SCADA Configuration (FTView / Wonderware) an advantage\n• Ideally have Electrical design including AutoCAD / EPlan or equivalent software knowledge\n\nSoftware Engineer Salary & Benefits\n• 40,000 - 45,000\n• 28 Days holiday inclusive of Bank holidays\n• Mon - Fri: 08:00 - 17:00\n• Pension\n\nBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.\n\nWe are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy, and in accordance with GDPR by applying you are granting us consent to process your data, contact you about the services we offer, and submit your CV for the role you have applied for.",
