The recent launch of DACI Academy provides topic materials for self-learning and platforms created for cross-discipline discussions on complex issues within the industry.\n\nThe Role:\nWe are thrilled to welcome a Senior Earthing Design Engineer to our expanding Earthing Division. This is an exciting opportunity where you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (EHV, Electrical, Protection, Civils and Contractors) on large- and small-scale infrastructure projects across Multi-Utility, EHV and the EVC industries. Works involve designing above and below ground earthing systems for renewables (solar, wind), generation, BESS, and Substations 400kV-LV for TNOs, DNOs and Private sites. There are also opportunities to be involved in AC Interference Studies, Impressed Voltage Studies, Lightning Risk Assessments and Lightning Protection Design. The role is predominantly office/home based and site surveys are not part of typical duties.\n\nYour key responsibilities will include:\nManage projects from tendering, design to commission\nEnsure designs meet the relevant UK standards and regulations\nReview and approve Earthing Designs within Earthing Division including DACI MU/Electrical Divisions and IDNOs.\nSupport and mentor Graduate and Junior Engineers, engineers from other divisions and Earthing Site Technicians.\nEffective planning ensuring all projects are completed within budget and time.\nTendering for works.\nBuilding and maintaining excellent customer relations.\nProvide technical support to contractors and ICPs.\nActively involved in developing and growing the Earthing Division.\n\nEssential Requirements:\nBachelor's Degree or equivalent technical experience in Electrical Engineering (or similar).\nVaried experience in design and studies across the earthing industry incl. knowledge of specialist equipment (BESS, Solar, generators, turbines)\nExpert user in CDEGS and relevant modules (MALZ, HIFREQ, TRALIN, SPLITS).\nExpert knowledge of UK standards, regulations and DNO policies.\nProficient in AutoCAD.\nStrong proficiency in English, both verbal and written.\nExcellent organisational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.\n\nDesirable Experience:\nWorking Knowledge of other modelling software (e.g. EMTP-ATP, XGSLab).\nSite work experience - Soil Resistivity Measurements, Earth Resistance Measurements and Earthing Compliance Surveys.\nExperience in Lightning Risk Assessments and Lightning Protection Design.\nWorking towards or have achieved CEng status with IET.\n\nApplication Process:\nTo join our team, submit your CV and cover letter to\n\nSalary: GBP 36000 - 60000 per year",
