Description

Move into Product Manager – Software Engineer If you’re a software engineer looking to take the next step into product management—while staying close to cutting‑edge video, media, and data technologies—this role offers a rare bridge into a strategic, customer-facing product position. A fast‑growing technology company working with global partners across streaming platforms, media workflows, and device ecosystems is expanding its product team. The company builds high‑performance software components and developer-focused tools that power real‑world video applications, helping partners deliver next‑generation capabilities at scale. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, collaborating with engineering teams, and is now ready to broaden into product leadership. The Role As Product Manager, you will sit at the intersection of engineering, customer needs, and commercial strategy. You’ll guide how advanced media technologies are adopted across a broad ecosystem—devices, platforms, open‑source projects, and partner integrations. You’ll work closely with engineering, technical leads, and external partners to translate technical possibilities into practical, deployable software products. This includes leading product demonstrations, managing trials and proof‑of‑concepts, supporting integrations, and shaping product outcomes through a clear, prioritised roadmap. This is a hands‑on, technically grounded role where you will see your decisions reflected directly in the software delivered to customers. About You You may currently be working as a: • Software Engineer • Technical Lead • Solutions Architect • Technical Consultant • Delivery/Integration Engineer …who has worked closely with product teams or customers and is now ready to step into a more strategic, outward‑facing position. You’re comfortable diving into code‑level discussions, understanding how systems fit together, and shaping product direction from both a technical and commercial perspective. Required Qualifications • Strong background in software development, architecture, or technical delivery. • Experience working alongside product, customer, or commercial teams. • Ability to translate technical detail into customer or business impact. • Strong communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences. • Experience in Agile or iterative development environments. • Ability to balance technical depth with product and market awareness. Location & Package • Location: London (Hybrid) • Salary: £60,000–£70,000
