This role requires strong frontend and backend development expertise, with hands‑on experience using AWS services. The ideal candidate will have deep proficiency in JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks, and a passion for building scalable, efficient, and secure applications within a collaborative Agile environment.\n\nResponsibilities\n• Build and maintain full‑stack applications deployed on AWS, ensuring high performance and reliability.\n• Design and implement APIs and microservices using Node.js, Python, Java, and strong JavaScript fundamentals.\n• Develop responsive, high‑quality user interfaces using JavaScript and modern frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js, following best practices for performance and accessibility.\n• Use AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and RDS to enhance application functionality.\n• Apply security best practices, optimise application performance, and ensure scalability across the stack.\n• Support the development of CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using AWS CodePipeline or similar tools.\n• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other developers in an Agile development environment.\n• Write clean, maintainable JavaScript code and contribute to peer code reviews and technical documentation.\n\nPreferred Education\n\nBachelor's Degree\n\nRequired Technical And Professional Expertise\n• Experience in full‑stack development, including cloud‑based applications, with exposure to projects involving IBM and defence industry organisations.\n• Advanced JavaScript/TypeScript skills and experience using modern frontend frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.\n• Hands‑on backend development experience using Node.js, Python, or Java.\n• Familiarity with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, and IAM.\n• Experience working with both relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB).\n• Strong understanding of unit testing, integration testing, and debugging techniques.\n• Knowledge of Git, version control workflows, and deployment automation practices.\n\nAs an equal opportunities’ employer, we welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
