business solutions, they play a role in supporting technical excellence across our whole development team.\nWorking within the Microsoft ecosystem, this role involves collaborating with stakeholders, developers, and business change to ensure solutions are delivered to the required specifications, whilst also being mindful of broader strategic initiatives.\nThis role will also involve guiding more junior developers through technical decisions and ensuring best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle.\nAlthough this position encompasses many aspects, this role requires being hands-on day to day to ensure project delivery and technical excellence.\nThis is a great opportunity for someone wanting to make a broaden their career, being in an autonomous role whilst still working from the front line.\nThis role is based in our Birmingham office with a hybrid workstyle and with occasional travel to other offices)\nWhat you'll be doing\nSupporting Isio's broader development strategy, with a particular focus on programme delivery, documentation, and the use of a modular coding patterns.\nAll utilising modern development standards & DevOps processes.\nWorking with our Lead Developers to support and implement agreed ways of working processes relating to development.\nCollaborating with multiple teams consisting of internal and external members, based geographically throughout the UK and Europe.\nSupporting Isio's testing strategy to speed up delivery and ensure development quality is of a high standard.\nRefining Isio's existing DevOps processes and ensuring they are consistently implemented across all projects.\nEngaging with leaders across Isio to reinforce understanding of requirements and solution designs, then implementing them in the most effective manner.\nHaving the responsibility to oversee major product feature enhancements from initial build to production release and maintenance BAU.\nSupporting with database architecture, in line with the wider group governance.\nThis includes working with both structured and unstructured data storages.\nPromoting a culture of continuous improvement within the Development team by mentoring and upskilling others.\nParticipating in Isio's CAB to ensure effective governance of changes being deployed to production systems.\nInvolvement in Isio's adoption of AI, including working with custom AI integrations\nWorking in a growth culture business within a start-up like environment, but supported by the stability and resources of a corporate organisation\nKey Role Requirements\n~4+ years development experience with the Microsoft Ecosystem (C#, dotnet, Entra)\n~2+ years hands on experience with the Azure Cloud Platform (AWS and GCP are not applicable for this role), covering a broad range of Azure resource types\n~ Exposure to DevOps maintaining CI/CD pipelines.\nKnowledge of Github Actions or Azure DevOps Pipelines strongly preferred\n~ Hands on experience working on codebases of varied high level architecture patterns (Monoliths, Microservices)\n~ Experience building APIs and API clients with a view to a strong level of maturity\n~ Exposure to working with messaging queues (Azure Service Bus preferred) and asynchronous architectures\n~ Knowledge of serverless technologies.\nAzure Functions preferred.\n~ Experience working with both structured and unstructured data.\nMSSQL Server and Azure Cosmos preferred.\n~ Experience with creating and updating documentation\n~ Demonstratable experience with handling multiple internal and external stakeholders\n~ Demonstratable experience of using modern design patterns, working with loosely coupled architectures\n~ Demonstratable experience of priority and time management, including implementing solutions to time sensitive projects\n~ Exposure to working on multi-year, multi-phase development projects involving multiple different technologies\n~ Hands on experience of Agile/Scrum ways of working\n~ Comfortable demonstrating solutions to senior stakeholders\n~ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.\n\nAdvantageous Requirements\nKnowledge of AI and AI development tools\nDevelopment experience with Python\nHolding professional development skills certifications (Azure or similar)\nExperience with building integrations to third party software (SaaS) products\nExposure to building and testing quantitative development models\nActuary experience and/or Pensions Administration experience\nUnderstanding of private equity business
