  "job_description": "We’re looking for a .NET Software Developer to join an established engineering team working across modern .NET applications.\n\nSoftware Developer\n\nCore Tech: .NET | ASP.NET MVC | SQL Server | Azure\n\nLocation: Derby/Hybrid (1–2 days in the office every other week)\n\nSalary: c£55,000 + Benefits\n\nYou’ll be working across a range of business-critical applications, contributing to ongoing development, maintenance, and improvement. Day to day, you’ll be involved in everything from feature builds through to investigating issues and refining how the team works.\n\nKey responsibilities include\n• Designing and building new functionality within ASP.NET MVC applications\n• Developing well-structured backend code using C# and .NET 8\n• Working with Entity Framework Core to manage data access and performance\n• Writing and optimising SQL Server queries\n• Experience working in Microsoft Azure environments\n• Debugging and resolving issues across the application stack\n• Reviewing code and contributing to shared development standards\n• Working closely with QA, Product, and other developers throughout delivery\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n• Solid commercial experience with ASP.NET MVC and C#\n• Practical experience using Entity Framework Core and LINQ\n• Confidence working with SQL Server in a production environment\n• Azure Cloud experience\n• Basic front-end capability using JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS\n• Experience using Git for version control\n• Awareness of unit testing and an ability to write and maintain simple tests\n\nUseful, But Not Essential\n• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, ideally using Azure DevOps\n• Knowledge of clean code practices, SOLID principles, or modern architectural patterns\n\nWhat’s On Offer\n• Salary to c£55,000\n• Hybrid working arrangement and a stable, well-established development environment\n• Supportive team culture with room to grow technically\n\nIf you’re looking for a role that offers variety, stability, and the chance to improve real-world systems, get in touch to learn more or apply now.",
