  "job_description": "Senior Front-End Developer | Bristol On-Site | Permanent | Up to £100,000 p.a.\nPeaple Talent have partnered with a fast‑growing AI start‑up looking to recruit a Senior Front-End Developer on a full‑time permanent basis.\nOur client is seeking a highly capable Senior Front-End Engineer to join an expanding engineering group building an AI‑driven communications platform. This role is ideal for someone with deep React and Next.js expertise who enjoys crafting polished user experiences, influencing technical direction, and supporting the growth of less experienced engineers.\nYou'll play a central role in shaping frontend architecture, delivering performant and accessible interfaces, and raising standards across the frontend codebase.\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain modern, responsive user interfaces using React, Next.js, TypeScript and contemporary frontend tooling.\nWork closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and deliver cohesive, end‑to‑end user journeys.\nContinuously refine UI performance, scalability, accessibility, and usability.\nSupport junior developers through mentoring, code reviews, and hands‑on guidance.\nLead technical conversations within the frontend space and help establish shared best practices.\nCollaborate with design and product teams to turn ideas into refined, production‑ready experiences.\nInfluence frontend architectural decisions, including state management approaches, performance optimisation, and code structure.\nAssess and introduce new libraries, frameworks, or tools where they provide clear value.\nEnsure frontend solutions remain maintainable and scalable as the platform evolves.\nDefine and apply testing approaches across unit, integration, and end‑to‑end layers.\nMonitor and improve frontend performance, SEO, and Core Web Vitals, particularly within Next.js applications.\n\nKey Experience Required:\n\nPrevious experience of commercial frontend development, with strong hands‑on experience in React and Next.js\nExperience using state management solutions such as Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or similar.\nSolid understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and UI/UX principles.\nPrevious experience mentoring developers or leading frontend initiatives.\nFamiliarity with modern build tooling (e.g. Webpack, Vite, Turbopack) and CI/CD pipelines.\nStrong communication skills and a collaborative, pragmatic approach to problem‑solving.\n\nNice to have:\n\nExperience working with design systems or component libraries such as Tailwind, MUI, or Storybook.\nExposure to backend or full‑stack development, including Node.js, serverless platforms, or API design.\nHands‑on experience with performance profiling, SEO optimisation, and Core Web Vitals.\nKnowledge of testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress or Playwright.\n\nIf this is of interest, please apply with an up to date copy of your CV.\n•",
