If you’re passionate about developing your career, while helping others along the way, come join the Broadridge team.\n\nWe are looking to bring onboard a Senior Java Backend Engineer with significant Full Stack experience and a desire to expand their Front End skills.\n\nThis individual will take a leading role in the transformation of the Securities Financing & Collateral Management (SFCM) application from its legacy desktop-based platform to a modern, web-based solution. This transformation will include developing a new front end built with React and Redux, as well as enhancing the Java-based backend application server to fully support this modernization effort.\n\nIn this role, you will be responsible for upholding architectural standards, defining and promoting best practices, and ensuring the delivery of a scalable, high‑performance, and maintainable user interface.\n\nResponsibilities:\n• Design, develop and implement back-end services and APIs to enhance and maintain a Securities Financing application providing clients with real-time trading information.\n• Work with other back-end developers to Design and implement scalable back-end services suitable to ensure seamless integration with new and existing user interfaces.\n• Design, develop, and implement a new React/Redux-based front end to replace the current desktop interface for the SFCM platform.\n• Work closely with back-end developers, UX/UI designers, product owners, and other stakeholders to create seamless and intuitive user experiences.\n• Lead code reviews, technical sessions, and hands-on mentorship to build team competence and ensure sustainable knowledge transfer.\n• Partner with QA and DevOps teams to align development with quality, security, and regulatory requirements specific to financial services.\n• Implement secure coding standards, validate user inputs, manage authentication and authorization flows, and ensure alignment with enterprise and regulatory security requirements throughout the development lifecycle.\n\nRequirements:\n• 8+ years of professional development experience with focus on service-oriented or micro-services based back-end java development.\n• Exposure to front end development using modern frameworks.\n• Background in Spring Boot and core Java development.\n• Proficient in building and integrating RESTful APIs.\n• Experience with React and related libraries.\n• Experience working relational databases.\n• Familiar with data grids, such as AG Grid or similar tools.\n• Ability to work well as a guide of an existing development team.\n• Ability to effectively communicate with the existing development team and management.\n• Enthusiastic and professional, with a drive to work on challenging projects.\n• Experience with coordinating/leading teams.​\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n• Experience with systems handling large data-volumes while providing real-time information.\n• Experienced in state management using Context API or Redux.\n• Experience with designing and implementing front end migration into React with Redux.\n• Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript.\n• Proficiency with SQL and PL/SQL and working with Oracle databases.\n• Skilled in CSS, including tools like styled-components.\n• Experience with C would be a bonus.\n• Experience working within an Agile squad model, collaborating closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and QA teams.\n\nTools:\n• Development Tools: Visual Studio/VS Code, Jet Brains, Browser developer tools, build and test automation frameworks.\n• Version Control: Git (preferred) or experience with similar systems such as Perforce.\n• Collaboration & Project Management: JIRA, Confluence.\n• DevOps / CI-CD (desirable): Familiarity with containerization, deployment pipelines, and related automation tools. ​\n\nEducation:\n• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science/IT, or related field required.\n\n#LI-DS1\n#LI-Hybrid\n\nWe are dedicated to fostering a collaborative, engaging, and inclusive environment and are committed to providing a workplace that empowers associates to be authentic and bring their best to work.
