Join our Ground Software Systems team in Darmstadt and gain hands‑on experience in building and testing mission control software that monitors and controls satellites in orbit. Your Mission As part of our Mission Control Systems Software team, you will: • Support the integration of software components in a mission control environment (MCS) • Assist with installation, configuration and deployment of ground‑segment applications • Contribute to creation of test plans, test data, and execution of functional/non‑regression tests • International working environment, friendly culture and networking with experts • Access to cutting‑edge tools and technology in the satellite operations field • Internship contract and potential for future career opportunities What We Are Looking For • You are enrolled in (or recently completed) a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or similar • Basic programming/scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, C/C++ or Java) • Comfortable working in Linux or Unix‑based environments • Able to use version control tools (Git, SVN) and interested in software testing and quality assurance • Strong analytical skills, good communication in English and willingness to learn in a dynamic international team • Motivation, curiosity and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively Nice to have (not required): • Familiarity with mission control systems, space standards (ECSS/CCSDS), test automation or ground segment architecture • Satellite monitoring and control (e.g. SCOS2000) What We Offer • Real exposure to space mission systems and ground software in a professional aerospace context • Mentorship and training opportunities to develop your technical and project‑oriented skills You will join an international, and creative working environment in a demanding sector that offers many challenges and opportunities for personal development.
