If you've worked as a founding engineer, you'll know how important it is to ship fast, whilst owning feature design from end to end, because every line of code and design choice counts. If you're considering a first time founding engineer position, buckle up. You’ll need to have the composure of a Zen master with this relentlessness of a caffeinated squirrel - an unusual combo, we know. We're partnered with five companies across Berlin (Munich too) all looking for YOU to be their next founding engineer. We have open vacancies across ConTech, MedTech and AI to name a few. Two of these are Y-Combinator backed, several from leading German VCs and one with their leader investor being Sequoia. The founding engineer title carries prestige on a resume, it signals your ability to build from zero-to-one, and the "tough personality traits" required to handle early-stage startup pressure. But it doesn't come without responsibility, and most importantly, accountability. We're looking for irreplaceable engineers who can shape the engineering culture and set the standard for future hires. Who also want the opportunity for accelerated career progression and higher autonomy than more established companies. Tech stack requirements are all Typescript, React, Next.JS, with more nice to haves being LangChain, LLMs, Postgres, shadcn, TRPc - you get the jist, it's modern. Salaries up to $160k + equity.
