We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at TASKING. Positions are open in both Germany (Munich area) and the Netherlands. Who are we? In this role, you will work on cutting‑edge compiler technology, contribute to key architectural decisions, and drive innovation across our product portfolio. Responsibilities: • Own the full software development lifecycle and ensure high‑quality, maintainable architecture. • Design, implement, test, and document new compiler features and optimizations. • Provide technical leadership and resolve complex architectural challenges. • Develop and review example projects and reference designs focused on performance and usability. • Improve existing compiler products and support engineers with expert guidance. • Contribute to Safety & Security standards and ensure compliance throughout development. • Drive on‑time delivery by managing dependencies and risks proactively. • Mentor medior and junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence. • Contribute to compiler codebases and develop or extend static analysis and transformation tools. • Conduct deep performance analysis and apply advanced optimization techniques. • Solve complex system‑level issues affecting functionality and user experience. • Stay current with compiler and toolchain innovations and advocate for new ideas. Qualifications: • MSc/BSc in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field • Strong proficiency in C/C++; familiarity with assembly • Experience in software design, algorithms, and compiler or toolchain technologies • Understanding of microprocessor instruction sets and embedded systems • Solid scripting experience (e.g., Python, Bash) • Proficiency with Git and Linux development environments • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience What do we offer: You will work in an informal, international, professionally challenging workspace, with flexible working hours and a hybrid working environment to fit with your personal needs.
