  "job_description": "Junior Sys Admin / Developer\n\nQuant Capital is urgently looking for a Junior Sys Admin / Developer to join our high profile client.\n\nOur client is the leading provider of advisory, analytical and forecasting services to the European Energy markets. Their platform of analysis allows them to take quantitative views of qualitative market developments and decision making. They are well known in the market even though they are a small size. Their customers are many major banks and producers across Europe.\n\nThis role sits under the COO and runs parallel to the CTO. You will be working closely with the development team creating new products and supporting the current infrastructure.\n\nThis is a small company so a role with a huge volume of autonomy and responsibility, in so much candidates should be happy to apply their knowledge to multiple problems across a technology stack or read up on a solution. This role suits a hands on techie who has motivated by getting stuck in and having the responsibility for IT within a small firm.\n• Writing scripts for automated data collection, data processing and business support routines\n• Preparing documentation and knowledge base\n• Daily infrastructure status check and reporting\n• Daily user support with all IT related issues\n• Systems / applications updates\n\nCandidates MUST have:\n• Degree with a Comp Sci or Development focus\n• Basic knowledge about IT operating systems\n• Some Experience in writing SQL queries and data modeling\n• Linux\n• Perl or other script language knowledge\n• Keen to learn and be trained\n\nMy client is based in London\n\nSys Admin, Devops, Developer, SQL, Linux, VBA, Support",
