  "job_description": "Secure Web Gateway SME (Forcepoint Specialist)\n\nDay Rate: £550 (Umbrella)\nLocation: London — 2 days per week on-site (mandatory)\nDuration: Contract\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Secure Web Gateway SME with strong, hands‑on Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway expertise to join a leading financial services organisation on a long-term contract. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, bringing deep technical knowledge of Forcepoint on‑premise Secure Web Gateway technologies.\n\nThis position sits within a high‑performing Security Engineering function and will play a key role in shaping and operating secure web gateway solutions across the organisation’s EMEA footprint.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAct as the technical authority for on‑premise Secure Web Gateway technologies, primarily Forcepoint.\nLead design, implementation, upgrades and lifecycle management of proxy platforms.\nProduce high‑level and low‑level designs, build documentation, runbooks and DR material.\nSupport an upcoming strategic transition toward cloud‑first web security solutions.\nOversee capacity management, licensing, platform health and vendor engagement.\nMaintain service documentation, playbooks and operational models.\nCollaborate closely with infrastructure, cyber defence and security operations teams.\nParticipate in BAU responsibilities including patching, on‑call rotation and ad‑hoc support.\nRequired Experience\n\nExtensive, evidencable hands‑on expertise with Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway — on‑premise experience is essential.\nExperience operating as a proxy SME in a complex, multi‑regional enterprise environment.\nDeep understanding of proxy technologies: explicit/transparent proxies, PAC files, SSL decryption, authentication, etc.\nStrong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and authentication technologies (Kerberos, SAML).\nAbility to convert business and security requirements into robust technical designs.\nSolid background producing technical documentation and design artefacts.\nDesirable Skills\n\nAny relevant proxy/security certifications.\nFamiliarity with ISO 27001, NIST CSF or related security frameworks.\nExperience working within regulated environments or with ITIL-based service models.\nWorking Model\n\n2 days per week in the office — mandatory.\nRate is fixed at £550 per day (Umbrella).\nNo flexibility on location or rate",
