About The Team The Group’s strategic roadmap, in addition to GBIS, has placed digital and innovation at the core of its strategic plan to ensure improved operational efficiency (automation, platform strategy, digitalization, re-useability, scalability, process mutualization) and reliance on digital and data-first technology by leveraging on the SG Markets Digital platform offering. The GBTO/SGM team (ex. Chief Digital Office) is comprised of 5 global org streams and their primary mission is to enhance the digital journey of Société Générale’s clients and staff across the SG Markets platform, by ensuring its compatibility with GBIS’ numerous use cases and by mutualising technical components and transversal business services to reduce our information system complexity. SGM/DPO in the UK, as part of the Maintain stream, (ex CSY/RPM) also provides development, delivery, support and maintenance for all non-core UK applications from various corporate business lines and transversal support functions. It manages around 15+ UK and EMEA applications sponsored by GBIS, COOE, COOM, DFIN, GTS, GTPS, HUMN, SAFE and SEGL. The team provides in house solutions when no existing global solution is available. Summary of Key Purposes of the Role: As a transversal role and will take in charge the business analysis, the development/ enhancement of existing and new solutions, manage internal projects as well as managing the vendor relationship for our local business partners / sponsors (Facilities, Corporate Social Responsibility, Compliance, Finance ...) • Gather& Analyse business requirements by liaising with Product Owners/ Business Partners • Writing detailed functional specifications (Epics, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria) by interacting with the Product Owner • Participate in testing, deployment, and production activities of the team to ensure production stability, applying the best practices provides by the production practices league. • Ensure vendor relationship and coordination with technical consultant as part of project/support. Key Responsibilities: Development • Develop code snippets and scripts as and when needed • Participate in updating code where needed Testing • Perform end-to-end testing by defining test scenarios, documenting defects, and ensuring that the product aligns to the target visions before it used operationally by the business. Production support • Supports inquiries, issues, and major events to identify root cause and resolution. • Ensures Support processes and practices given by the Support Chapters are applied by the team. Deployment • Assist in drafting release notes. • Develop Release Scripts and manage tools used for releases. • Verifies that entry criteria for each release candidate is fulfilled prior to deployment. • Plan and execute manual and automated deployments to staging, QA and PROD environments. • Lead deployments, develop run books, develop contingency and rollback plans. • Execute deployments to environments, while in parallel supporting ongoing application development. Required Profile required Technical Essential: • Familiarity with bash/command line scripts • Application and Infrastructure /Middleware Support and Maintenance • Working Knowledge of Windows/Linux Server administration • Understanding of Web Security, Authentication, HTTPS • Working Knowledge of CI/CD, Teamcity, GitHub and Jira Desirable: • Knowledge of Software development • C# .NET, TDD • API development • SQL Skills • Project Management • Understanding of PosgreSQL and Rabbit MQ administration • Understanding of Technical Architecture of Applications Behavioural competencies • Strong autonomy: the candidate manages the onboarding of the software onto internal cloud and coordinates all stakeholders involved. • Self-motivated “Problem Solver” attitude is required; willing to call on other expertise. • Flexible and Adaptable with an ability and desire to learn new skills quickly. • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. • Team player who proactively shares information and collaborates with others. • Take ownership of responsibilities and if applicable projects • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with ability to interact comfortably with a variety of businesses, management, and control functions across the bank. • Individual contributor competency as defined by SG Leadership Model. • Ability to develop relationships based on trust and professionalism. • Project-oriented; focused on quality and delivery.
