  "job_description": "Senior C# .NET Developer | High-Volume Data | Kafka | Energy Trading | Up to £95,000 + Bonus | Hybrid, London\n\nA Senior C# .NET Developer is required to join a high-performing Data Platform team within a leading Energy Trading firm operating across global markets.\n\nThis is a C# .NET–focused engineering role working in a high-volume, high-frequency data environment, building modern distributed systems that process and stream large-scale market data in real time.\n\nYou will be joining a technology-driven trading business that invests heavily in modern engineering practices, scalable architecture, and cloud-native infrastructure.\n\nThe Team\n\nThe Data Platform team sits at the core of the organisation’s trading ecosystem. They design and build the systems responsible for:\n• Ingesting and streaming high-frequency market data\n• Storing and processing large-scale time-series datasets\n• Distributing real-time data across trading and analytics platforms\n• Enabling advanced quantitative and trading strategies\n\nThe environment is event-driven, Kafka-based, and built on modern .NET Core and Azure infrastructure. The team works closely with Trading, Quantitative Analytics, and Production Operations to deliver performance-critical systems that directly impact trading performance.\n\nRole Details\n\n💰 Up to £95,000 + 20–30% Bonus + Benefits\n\n💻 Tech Stack: C# | .NET Core (5+) | Kafka | Azure | SQL Server | Docker | Kubernetes\n\n🏢 Hybrid working (2–3 days per week onsite)\n\n🚂 Liverpool Street / Bank / Moorgate\n\nAs a Senior C# .NET Developer, you will:\n• Design and build high-performance backend systems using C# and .NET Core\n• Develop scalable, event-driven services within a Kafka streaming architecture\n• Engineer systems capable of handling large volumes of structured and time-series data\n• Write efficient, multithreaded C# code optimised for throughput and performance\n• Contribute to system architecture, scalability, and resilience decisions\n• Deliver end-to-end functionality from analysis and design through to release\n• Implement clean coding standards (SOLID, IoC, automated testing)\n• Support CI/CD pipelines, Azure deployments, and production monitoring\n• Collaborate closely with Trading and Quant teams on performance-sensitive solutions\n• Mentor and review code where required\n\nRequired Experience\n• Strong commercial experience as a C# .NET Developer\n• Deep understanding of .NET Core / .NET 5+ backend development\n• Experience building high-throughput backend services or APIs\n• Exposure to distributed systems, concurrency, or multithreading\n• Experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, Postgres, etc.)\n• Exposure to Azure cloud environments\n• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and modern engineering practices\n• Confident communicator comfortable working across technical and business teams\n\nDesirable Experience\n• Kafka or other event-streaming technologies\n• Large-scale data environments (streaming, data lakes, time-series systems)\n• Docker & Kubernetes\n• Observability and monitoring tools\n• Experience within energy, commodities, or financial trading environments\n\nSenior C# .NET Developer | High-Volume Data | Kafka | Energy Trading | Up to £95,000 + Bonus | Hybrid, London",
