  "job_description": "Front-End Engineer (React.js / Next.js / Tailwind CSS)\n\nAbout Us\n\nWe are a boutique consultancy operating in the UK energy sector, building an AI-powered data triangulation platform to help energy networks integrate, reconcile, and derive insight from complex, multi-source infrastructure data.\n\nThis is a high-impact product at the intersection of AI, infrastructure analytics, and enterprise software. You will work directly with the Product Manager & AI Department Lead to help shape and deliver the front-end of this platform.\n\nThe Role\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Front-End Engineer with strong expertise in React.js, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS to architect and build the user interface of our AI tool.\n\nThe candidate also needs to understand how to deploy on GCP Cloud Run and needs to have experience using Version control systems such as GitHub.\n\nAuth0 integration experience is also a plus.\n\nThis is not a feature-maintenance role — you will play a key role in defining the front-end architecture and translating complex AI outputs into intuitive, production-grade user experiences for technical energy stakeholders.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n• Architect and implement scalable front-end solutions using Next.js (App Router preferred)\n• Build reusable, modular React components\n• Develop responsive, accessible UI with Tailwind CSS\n• Integrate with REST/GraphQL APIs and AI-driven backend services\n• Design and implement data-heavy dashboards and visualizations\n• Optimize performance (SSR/SSG, hydration strategies, bundle size)\n• Collaborate closely with AI engineers, backend developers, and product leadership\n• Contribute to sprint planning and technical decision-making\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n\nMust-Have:\n• 3+ years of strong React.js experience\n• GCP Cloud Run CI/CD deployment experience.\n• Proven production experience with Next.js\n• Deep knowledge of Tailwind CSS and modern UI systems\n• Experience building data-driven dashboards\n• Strong understanding of front-end architecture and performance optimization\n• Experience integrating APIs and handling complex state management\n• Comfortable working in fast-moving, contractor-style environments\n\nHighly Desirable:\n• TypeScript\n• Data visualization libraries (e.g., D3, Recharts, Chart.js)\n• Experience working on AI/ML-powered products\n• Enterprise or infrastructure-sector experience\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n• Product-oriented mindset\n• Strong communicator able to collaborate cross-functionally\n• High ownership and autonomy\n• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into structured solutions\n• Systems thinker who understands how front-end interacts with AI and backend architecture\n\nContract Details\n• Full-time (40 hours per week)\n• 6-month contractor engagement\n• Remote-first (UK time zone alignment preferred)\n• Competitive day rate (experience dependent)\n• Potential extension based on roadmap progress",
