  "job_description": "Rust Engineer (Trading / Payments / Platform)\n\nLocation: Hybrid London\n\nCompensation: £225k base + £350k total\n\nWe are working with a high-performance engineering team building real-time systems across trading, financial infrastructure, and scalable backend platforms.\n\nThere are multiple roles open across different teams, with responsibilities varying depending on your background and strengths. This is not a single-position hire, but a broader push to bring in strong Rust engineers across the organisation.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nThis is an opportunity to work on performance-critical systems where latency, reliability, and correctness are fundamental.\n\nEngineers will be aligned to one of the following areas:\n• Trading\n• Working on low-latency systems, real-time market data, and execution infrastructure. This includes building and optimising systems that operate under strict performance and uptime requirements.\n• Payments (Greenfield)\n• Building new financial infrastructure from the ground up, focused on transaction processing, asset movement, and systems where correctness and auditability are critical.\n• Platform / Backend\n• Developing scalable backend services and distributed systems, including event-driven architectures and high-throughput pipelines supporting core platform functionality.\n\nWhat They Are Looking For\n• Strong experience with Rust in production environments\n• Background in high-performance, real-time, or distributed systems\n• Solid understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and memory management\n• Experience building or operating low-latency systems or high-throughput services\n• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, WebSockets, APIs)\n• Experience designing scalable, reliable backend systems\n• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-ownership environments\n\nNice to have:\n• Experience with trading systems, market data, or exchange infrastructure\n• Experience with financial systems or payments\n• Exposure to crypto or blockchain environments\n\nWhy Join\n• High-impact engineering work across multiple domains\n• Small, high-calibre team with strong ownership\n• Complex technical challenges with real-world impact\n• Clear opportunity to shape systems and architecture",
