Junior Researcher Position in AI for Pharmacology
—
Are you driven by the potential of AI to revolutionize biology? Join our internationally renowned lab and lead your own independent research project with full access to cutting-edge technology, interdisciplinary expertise, and a network of world-leading scientists. NorDiC - Neuroendocrine, Endocrine and Germinal Differentiation and Communication NorDiC is a multidisciplinary thematic laboratory of research and training funded by the University of Rouen Normandie and INSERM in January 2022. We are seeking a talented and motivated early-career researcher to join our multidisciplinary research laboratory of neuroendocrinology, working at the forefront of fundamental and translational science. Our internationally renowned laboratory focuses mainly on peptidergic systems at the interface of chemistry and biology. With expertise in cellular and molecular biology, physiology, chemistry, and pharmacology, we aim to advance understanding of key regulatory systems in both physiological and pathophysiological conditions, with a particular focus on those governing and modulating energy metabolism. Our collaborative environment fosters innovation, with biologists, chemists, physicians, and pharmacists working together to push the boundaries of science. Position Specifications We are looking for an ambitious researcher with a strong background in computational biology and chemistry, with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI). The candidate will be expected to lead innovative projects that elevate the lab’s scientific scope and interact closely with other research groups of the lab. He/she will be assisted to apply for tenured prestigious positions such as Inserm Research Scientist or Junior Professor Chair (CPJ), providing clear pathways for long-term career advancement within France’s leading biomedical research institution. Ultimately, this position offers access to state-of-the-art local facilities, including cellular and molecular biology, cell/tissue imaging, proteomics, peptide synthesis, and in vitro and in vivo experimentations, to validate research findings. Requirements The ideal candidate is a dynamic junior researcher with at least five years of experience post-PhD. Candidates should demonstrate high potential for development and innovation, as well as a proven ability to interface effectively with multidisciplinary teams. An outstanding publication record is required, including at least one first-author paper from his/her postdoctoral work in a top-tier journal. We seek candidates with a passion for advancing science and a clear vision for their research trajectory
