  "job_description": "Junior Software Engineer - .Net / Angular\n\nLocation: London (Hybrid)\n\nSalary: 50K + Bonus + Benefits\n\nWe’re looking for a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join a London-based specialist insurer and reinsurer focused on high-risk, high-capacity commercial insurance and reinsurance solutions.\n\nTheir core platforms are built using the latest versions of .NET, Angular, and SQL Server, and you’ll gain exposure to modern engineering practices in a real-world, business-critical environment.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n• Monitoring the Ignite platform, investigating issues, performing root-cause analysis, and delivering robust fixes\n• Supporting the design and development of new features and modules using .NET Core and Angular\n• Writing, optimising, and maintaining SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and schema changes\n• Taking part in peer code reviews and writing unit tests to maintain high engineering standards\n• Maintaining clear technical documentation, including APIs and database structures\n• Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nCore skills and experience:\n• C# and .NET Core / .NET Framework\n• Angular (TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS)\n• Strong understanding of relational databases and T-SQL (SQL Server)\n• Version control experience with Git / Bitbucket\n• Experience building and consuming REST and SOAP APIs (XML / JSON)\n• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tooling\n• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies\n• Understanding of development practices such as TDD, DevOps, and modern testing approaches\n\nYou’ll also bring:\n• A logical, persistent approach to troubleshooting\n• The ability to turn user stories and requirements into working solutions\n• Confidence working with cross-functional teams and competing priorities\n• Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders\n• Curiosity, self-motivation, and a desire to continuously improve as an engineer\n\nExperience within Lloyd’s of London, General Insurance, or Financial Services is highly desirable.\n\nSound Good?\n\nAPPLY NOW!!",
