  "job_description": "Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer\n\nLondon\n\nI'm currently working with a well-established building services engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team.\n\nWith over 30 years' experience delivering mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) engineering design, the consultancy works across a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare, education, leisure and mixed-use developments. They provide practical, sustainable engineering solutions and support projects from early feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and project completion.\n\nDue to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who can lead mechanical design work, manage projects and support the development of junior engineers.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will:\n\nLead the mechanical design on a variety of building services projects\n\nDeliver projects from concept design through to completion\n\nProduce and review mechanical calculations, specifications and technical reports\n\nDesign systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning and domestic water services\n\nCoordinate with architects, structural engineers and other design disciplines\n\nAttend client and design team meetings\n\nSupport the mentoring and development of junior engineers\n\nContribute to low carbon and sustainable design strategiesAbout You\n\nDegree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering\n\nProven experience working within a building services consultancy\n\nStrong knowledge of mechanical building services design, including HVAC systems\n\nExperience delivering projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare or education\n\nFamiliarity with relevant design standards and industry software\n\nChartered or working towards Chartership (CIBSE / IMechE) is desirable\n\nConfident managing projects and engaging directly with clientsWhy This Role?\n\nJoin a well-established consultancy with a strong industry reputation\n\nWork on a diverse range of building projects across multiple sectors\n\nOpportunity to step into a senior technical leadership role\n\nCollaborative team environment with clear progression opportunitiesApply now or reach out to Roberto Sartori on (phone number removed) for a confidential chat.\n\nAldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
