Collaborate closely with us to address manufacturing challenges in a data-driven approach, delivering more efficient and smarter solutions for our partners and customers, including A.I. predictive modeling.\n• Solve real production challenges: Partner with data scientists, data/industrial engineers, and stakeholders to design and deliver AI solutions that respect production constraints and business priorities.\n• Translate business needs into AI systems: Clarify reporting and decision requirements, then architect models and services that enable more autonomous decision-making on the shop floor.\n• Analyze and model at scale: Explore data and infrastructure to uncover patterns, quantify risks/opportunities, and identify cause–effect relationships.\n• Build, train, and integrate: Train models, tune hyperparameters, and connect streaming/batch data to models; validate thoroughly before production rollout.\n• Measure impact: Define success metrics with the solution manager, monitor model performance and business value, and iterate—or retire—models as needed.\n• Lead global AI projects: Drive end-to-end initiatives across Schaeffler group plants, coordinating cross-functional contributors and timelines.\n• Document and communicate: Produce clear, maintainable code, technical docs, and user guides; present insights to both experts and non-experts.\n\nRequired Profile and Key Skills:\n• Engineer Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics.\n• 4-5 years of practical experience in data science ideally within the mass production industry, focusing on machine learning, deep learning, foundation models (GenAI…).\n• Strong foundation in mathematics, data science, and machine learning.\n• Proficiency in statistical programming languages, particularly Python.\n• Hands-on experience with intensive computing and parallelization.\n• Experience with Big Data / ML ecosystems and tools (ELK, Grafana…).\n• Familiarity with the AWS / Azure ecosystems and effective communication with IT teams regarding these technologies.\n• A passionate interest in cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.\n• Excellent communication and business acumen.\n• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\n• Experience managing agile projects is a plus.\n• Proficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.\n• Fluent in English and French.
