  "job_description": "Chief Engineer - Software | Counter UAS | Series A Funded (€40 Million+)\n\nMy client, who are building Counter UAS systems, capable of detecting, tracking and neutralising, are looking for to make an crucial hire for the business, a Chief Engineer - Software . You will be the technical backbone of the team, ensuring strong engineering practices, cross-team alignment, and delivery excellence.\n\nRole\n• Provide technical leadership across multiple software and robotics teams\n• Own architectural coherence and ensure technical excellence across systems\n• Stay hands-on with system design, critical integrations, reviews, and complex problem-solving\n• Lead cross-team initiatives spanning autonomy, robotics, and platform software\n• Build, scale, and mentor high-performing software engineering teams\n• Establish a strong engineering culture focused on collaboration, ownership, and quality\n• Define and evolve engineering practices, coding standards, testing strategies, and development workflows\n• Contribute to and help execute the software engineering roadmap\n• Translate company-level strategy into executable engineering direction\n\nRequirements\n• 5–10+ years of professional software engineering experience\n• Prior hands-on experience as a robotics or autonomy software engineer\n• Proven experience leading engineering teams or acting as a senior technical authority across multiple teams\n• Strong architectural intuition and systems-level thinking\n• Comfort making both technical and organisational decisions\n• Python, C++\n\nLogistics\n• Must be willing to work On-site in Southern German\n• ASAP Starter but can wait for the right candidate\n• English speaking, German is a plus\n\nIf this role sounds interesting please send your CV to alex@aifutures.group with the subject line \"Profile Introduction: Chief Engineer - Software\"",
