  "job_description": "I am recruiting a Senior Engineer for a well invested, ambitious and already profitable Start-up who are building an AI driven Risk Intelligence Engine for critical infrastructure.\n\nThis is a chance to work closely with their CPTO and take full ownership of a platform that’s already live, already trusted, and about to scale globally\n\nThey are fast‑growing, research‑driven and heavily invested in AI innovation to solve a worldwide need.\n\nIn this role you will help to define and build the engineering foundations of a multi‑product analytics platform used by major institutions. This is a rare opportunity to join early, shape everything, and grow into Head of Engineering as the team scales.\n\nThis role will be HEAVILY HANDS ON for the next 6-12 months but will play a key role in growing the team as the company grows.\n\nThey are well invested and already profitable\n\nWhat you’ll do\n• Own the architecture, standards, and technical direction across a complex, data‑heavy platform.\n• Turn quantitative models, simulations, and AI workflows into production‑ready systems.\n• Lead the engineering approach across Python services, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and modern React front‑ends.\n• Productise bespoke deployments into reusable, configurable platform capabilities.\n• Be a hands-on contributor while setting the template for future hires.\n\nWhat you bring\n• 5+ years of engineering with particularly strong Python backend & API skills.\n• Experience shipping production systems in fast-moving or early-stage environments.\n• Strong grounding in cloud (AWS/Azure), PostgreSQL, CI/CD, and modern web architecture.\n• Bonus: experience in working with AI, data‑intensive platforms, ML/LLM integration, or quant/financial modelling.\n\nWhy this role?\n• Work on technology with real‑world impact, used by decision‑makers across regulated markets.\n• Join a highly analytical, mission‑driven team with deep academic and industry pedigree.\n• Step into a foundational role with genuine ownership and meaningful equity—not a token allocation.\n• Shape the engineering culture from day one.\n• Lots of autonomy and a chance to build something from the ground up\n\nThey are looking for\n• An energetic & passionate Engineer\n• Start-up mindset\n• Someone who wants to create something special and help a product/ company grow\n• Someone who takes risks/ innovates\n• An Engineer with a deep interest in AI\n\nThey are open to days in the office but ideally looking for 2 days in either London or Oxford\n\nPaying up to £120k + Equity (with flex)",
