  "job_description": "Lead Data Science Consultant – UK Consultancy (Hybrid, Frequent Travel)\n\n£100,000–£120,000 + 25% bonus\n\nA high‑growth consultancy is expanding its AI & Digital capability, hiring multiple Data Science and Machine Learning leaders at Lead level. This team solves complex, real‑world problems across Consumer, Public Sector and Defence, working closely with major AI partners.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of DS/ML/AI solutions with measurable commercial or operational impact\n• Shape, design and implement complex client programmes\n• Influence senior stakeholders and guide client decision‑making\n• Coach and support junior consultants as the capability scales\n• Collaborate with internal technology and consulting teams across multiple sectors\n\nRole Requirements\n• 5+ years’ experience in Data Science / Machine Learning\n• Experience working in a consultancy or professional services environment (essential)\n• Proven track record delivering real‑world, outcome‑driven projects (KPIs, ROI, efficiency, growth etc.)\n• Ability to engage senior stakeholders and operate in ambiguous client environments\n• Strong problem‑solving skills and intellectual curiosity\n\nTravel Expectations\n• Frequent UK client travel – typically 2–3 days per week on-site (London, Manchester, Edinburgh etc.)\n• Some projects (e.g., Defence or secure Public Sector) may require full‑time on‑site work\n• All travel fully expensed\n• Candidates must be comfortable with regular travel as a core part of the role\n\nSectors & Impact Areas\n• Consumer (personalised AI, customer analytics, digital optimisation)\n• Public Sector (AI to improve long‑term care, operational efficiency, citizen services)\n• Defence & Infrastructure (complex system optimisation, production acceleration)\n\nIf you are keen, apply below!\n\nSalary: GBP 85000 - 130000 per year",
