And to thrive.\n\neCommerce Data provides the department and the business the means to see what is\n\nworking and what is not by drawing data and analysing patterns of shopping on our site\n\nand in general.\n\nThe role\n\nAs a Lead Data Scientist within Marketing Science at NEXT, you will build data-driven\n\nsolutions through state-of-the-art machine learning, causal inference, and experiment\n\ndesign to measure true impact and make impactful recommendations to the business. As a\n\nlead, you are expected to handle end-to-end projects and mentor junior/senior data\n\nscientists whenever relevant. What else is involved?\n• Working closely with marketing teams and agencies to understand challenges and\n\nopportunities in e-commerce marketing.\n• Proactively lead the design, development, and deployment of data science solutions\n\nthat inform marketing strategy and execution.\n• Build Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), predictive modelling, lifetime value prediction,\n\nchurn analysis, marketing attribution, and channel optimisation.\n• Partner with marketing stakeholders to test, learn, and optimize campaigns through\n\nexperimental design and/or causal inference methods.\n• Create dashboards and data products that enable self-serve analytics and real-time\n\ninsights for marketing teams.\n• Drive data quality, model governance, and documentation standards across the\n\nmarketing science function.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n• Bachelor’s , Master’s degree or higher education in Statistics, Computer Science, Data\n\nScience, Economics, or related field.\n• 6+ years of experience in applied data science or analytics, with 2+ years in a\n\nleadership or mentoring role.\n• Strong expertise in marketing analytics, building MMM model via Meridian, Robyn\n\nand/or PyMc, multi-touch attribution, customer lifecycle modelling.\n• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, PySpark and dashboarding in PowerBI/Looker.\n• Experienced running Geolift test, causal inference model, and other forms of\n\nexperimental design.\n• Solid foundation in machine learning, statistics, econometric modelling, analytical\n\nand problem solving skills\n• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data insights into\n\nactionable business strategies.\n• Preferred experience in the e-commerce, technology or marketing industry.\n\nYou’ll be doing all this from our Leicestershire Head Office.
